Hi! Jenn here, illustrator and character creator from North Carolina. I love quirky characters, anthropomorphic inanimate objects, puns, potty humor, hand lettering, and obscure historical facts.
My whimsical retro style draws from midcentury picture books and vintage animation. With roots in journalism, advertising, and interior design, my creative process incorporates layered storytelling, cheeky charm, and meticulously researched world-building.
I've illustrated 11 book projects, including picture books and middle grade for Bloomsbury, Clarion/HMH, Cantata Learning (Capstone), and Highlights Magazine.
I have my BFA in Interior Design from Winthrop University, am a PAL member of SCBWI, and an Illustration Department Alum.
Hobbies range from knitting to Netflix, reading, coffee, volunteering, and working on crossword puzzles. I live on a family hobby farm and shovel lots of poo.
Superpowers: riding a 1,800-pound horse on the buckle, wrangling snakes, and skipping rope without tripping.
