I DRAW FUNNY.
MY CREATIVE compass points toward stories that are silly, weird, emotionally rich, clever, or irreverent. I harbor soft spots for a well-crafted pun, potty humor, nature & the environment, and animals. Non-fiction subjects intrigue me as well.
As an illustrator with a whimsical retro style, I combine a passion for midcentury picture books and vintage animation with world-building inspired by studies in journalism and a BFA degree in interior design.
I enjoy working on picture books, middle-grade, and book cover projects and collaborated with Bloomsbury, Clarion/HMH, Cantata Learning, and Highlights Magazine.
When not creating, you'll find my nose in a book or the mane of a horse.
