Jennifer Bower (she/her) is an illustrator and writer for children who loves drawing animals, nature, quirky kids, devilish details, and projects that require a little bit of research. She has a BFA in Interior Design from Winthrop University which developed her fondness for aging architecture, lush landscapes, and surface design. Her education mixed with an adoration of mid-century picture books & Disney animation strongly influence her style.
She enjoys illustrating fiction and non-fiction picture books, middle-grade novels, and book covers. Her clients have included Bloomsbury, Clarion Books, Cantata Learning, and Highlights Magazine.
Jennifer lives in North Carolina where she illustrates and writes by the window in her tiny house, on a tiny farm, in a tiny town surrounded by pine trees and horse pastures.
She is an active member of SCBWI in the Carolinas Region and is represented by Jennifer March Soloway, Senior Agent, Andrea Brown Literary Agency
