Hey there! I'm Jenn, an illustrator and character creator who loves all things witty and weird. Carrion flowers, anthropomorphic animals, neurotic kids, pet rocks, landmine-sniffing rats with backpacks, you name it. Puns or potty humor! Even better.
My whimsical retro style takes a leaf out of midcentury picture books and vintage animation. With a background in journalism, advertising, and interior design, I'm a research nerd who hyperfixates on digging up details to layer into my work.
I've done picture books, chapter books, and book covers with the wonderful folks at Bloomsbury, Clarion/HMH, Cantata Learning, and a few spots for Highlights Magazine.
By day, I’m knee-deep in the private wealth management world (it's a long story), have a BFA in Interior Design from Winthrop University (another long story), I'm a SCBWI PAL member, and The Illustration Department alum.
My superpowers are books, Netflix, knitting, coffee, crossword puzzles, rocking my chickens to sleep, and riding a 1,800-pound horse.
