Jennifer Bower (she/her) is an illustrator and writer for children with a background in fine arts and interior design. Her clients have included Bloomsbury, Clarion Books, Cantata Learning, and Highlights Magazine.
During her studies she spent hours drawing architecture, landscapes, furniture, people, and pattern design. Her education mixed with the love of mid-century picture books & Disney animation strongly influence her style.
She has a soft spot for picture books that feature a gamut of emotions, quirky characters, inanimate sentient objects, anthropomorphic food, wonders of the natural world, and animals who don't want to be eaten.
She also loves incorporating hand lettering and pattern designs into her work.
Jennifer illustrates and writes in a tiny house, on a tiny farm, in a tiny town surrounded by pine tree stands and horse pastures.
She is an active member of SCBWI in the Carolinas Region and is represented by Jennifer March Soloway, Senior Agent, Andrea Brown Literary Agency
